Rules: Valid participants have to link to the sponsor, publish contact details, follow official Google webmaster Guidelines and domain for the competition must be registered after January 15^th 2007.

Winners were selected by checking their ranking in the three major search engines –Google, Yahoo and MSN. First place in every search engine brings - 10 points, second place - 9 points, third place – 8 points and so on. The sum of points from all 3 search engines forms the final score for the contest.

Funny: The winner had 20 points and was 2^nd in Google, 4^th in Yahoo and 7^th in MSN. The moral – the cumulative performance was more important in this SEO contest.

Prizes: 1^st prize - Citroen C2, 2nd - A Caribbean Cruise, 3rd - A plasma tv, 4rt - $500, 5th - $510

Netherlands contest and almost all info is written in Dutch and difficult to understand the details:

I get nervous while reading rules of the contest, a little bit complicated and unreasonable requirements.

Rules: It is Filipino contest although non Filipinos can participate but they also have to be at the winner ceremony which immediately limits non Filipinos. No domain limitations – all ages are accepted. The point system is cracking me up, so difficult to calculate. What I understand is that you can participate with many domains that contain your ID (sponsors give ID) and all the domains in top 100 get points, your score is the sum of all points from the domains that have your ID (sounds a little bit spammy to me).

Prizes: Samsung HDTV Home Theater System, Asus A8FM Core™2 Duo Notebook, Canon EOS 400D, Sony Playstation 3, Apple iPod Shuffle.

Rules: Very simple, be first on Google, Yahoo or MSN for the key phrase.

Prizes: 3 prizes for the three search ingines. Google – 1^st – $4000, 2^nd - $1500, 3^rd - $500. Yahoo – 1^st - $2500, 2^nd - $1000, 3^rd - $500. Prizes for MSN like these for Yahoo.
