Post office, wish to help and Seocontest2008

While going to the post office I was thinking what to write in Seocontest2008, and naturally happened that I will share in Seocontest2008 the wish or the lack of wish to help.

I wanted to send DVD’s to France and I needed first to buy an envelop, than they weight the envelop and according to its weight they give me the appropriate stamps for European freight.

The characters in this seocontest2008 post are 4 women, who was chatting and making big noise, while me and a man trying to send packages.

I kindly asked for envelope to address it and to leave women to talk, but nobody paid me attention. I waited for a couple of minutes and again asked for envelope, this time a little bit louder.

Nothing happened – women was continue to chat, than I scream to them that I need an envelop and they looked at me astonished (Now I became a crazy woman).

What really annoyed me was their lack to help me. They had something to talk about and nobody cared what was going on outside of their talk.

Fortunately in the post office and Seocontest2008 were only me and a poor man who was trying to figure out the Post number (code) of the recipient’s street. They told him to check in a book with Post codes, where he really tried (I also tried to help him) to find the name of the street.

When he complained that there is no such street there, they just “helped” him with “Look alphabetically”. He searched alphabetically, I did too, but probably they have changed the street name and it is not in this reference book.

The event lasted about 20 minutes (20 minutes for stamps!!!) and in this time I saw that there are people who know how to solve your problem but they didn’t want to do it – even this is their job!

Such simple things made me think – Do I help people when they ask me to do things that are routine for me? Do I pay enough attention to people with knowledge different by me?

Probably I have my “no pay attention moments”, probably I helped many people in Seocontest2008.
