Seocontest2008 and SEO it is all about money and satisfaction

Not everything is money, and the prize for Seocontest2008 is not so compelling, but the satisfaction from being number one in Seocontest2008 is worth.

It is the same in life. People do things for money or for satisfaction or for both. Happier people do things for pleasure and this earns them money. We all strive for this, but first we need to learn how to feel the joy and than to pay it forward.

Joy and satisfaction are the purpose of life. And not many of us feel them. Do you feel the joy to wake up in Seocontest2008? How many people you made happy yesterday? When was the last time you were satisfied from doing anything?

Why you practice SEO? For money, for fun? Of for the possibility to earn money? Or because you are good in this and you are satisfied from the well done job?

It is hard to measure SEO skills, that’s why we have this Seocontest2008, right? SEO is about being first in SERP but what if after this you can’t monetize the achieved result? It is not your job to monetize, your job is to be first in SERP, right?

Than you need someone to monetize your result or your result will be meaningless. I know a man who have only 200 visitors per day to his hobby site, but he makes 20 times more money than a man who have site with 2000 visitors per day. Who have bigger satisfaction – probably a third guy who have 20 000 visitors per day and earns $500 000 yearly.

It is in our blood to compete in contests, like in Seocontest2008, and to compare to somebody else who is doing better than us. But satisfaction is not to compete with others; it is about challenging and moving on the next level. And it is about you, not the others.

There always be someone else who will be better than you, it depends on time, conditions and serendipity. But the feeling from well done job brings satisfaction at the end of day and you can truly say to yourself “I did my best” the rest is outside of me.
