What kind of contests to expect in 2008?
Checking in Google AdWords Keyword Tool, people search for many types of contests and most of them have nothing to do with topics like SEO or Internet or Money. 99% of online contests are on fun topics and pull big audience starting from parents, going through crafts and creative areas like poetry, writing, painting etc.
People tend to search for contests during the second half of the year, probably because most of the contests are for “the best ……. in 200X”. It would be interesting to see how the search trend for contests will change at the end of 2008 and what will happen with online contests on topics like SEO, web design, making money, affiliates etc.
2008 surprise us with seocontest2008, whish is not a world SEO contest but a contest organized from UK Webmaster World, but people (teams) from all around the world can participate.

I chuckled to see the ugly dog contest making it to the list. It might have to do with the fact that the winner for many times in a row, Sam (a chinese crested) died not too long ago.
